On Tuesday, August 1st at 8:30pm, everyone who is over 21 should to come to The Lucky Dog Music Hall in Worcester. We are having an 80's party. There will be ten bands, who will each play for 15 minutes (3 songs each). They will all do covers of songs made popular in the early 80's, with their own style incorporated. Our Music Producer, Kaz Gamble, will be there watching all the performances. The best bands will be contacted about possibly having their covers recorded professionally to appear on the soundtrack to "We Got the Beat." Come and have fun with us. If you know anyone in a local band, tell them to e-mail Kaz if they are interested playing at the show.
The Music of We Got the Beat

You may think because this is a film taking place in the early 80's that there would be no opportunity for bands of today to get involved in the soundtrack of We Got the Beat. Well, that is just simply not the case at all. The director wants the bands of today to cover popular songs from 1980-1983. The movie does take place in the 80's but the music should have a very modern sound. Below is a list of songs the producer and director are hoping to include in the soundtrack.

Metal Health - Bang Your Head (soft version)
ACDC - Rock & Roll Aint Noise Polution
Cyndi Lauper - Time After Time
Men at Work - Who Can it be Now
Bob Seger - Turn the Page
and many many more!

If you have done covers of these songs, or think you will soon, please send them to:
